Luxtronix began as Kern Electronics Inc.,
founded in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada in 1985.
Solutions developed include life-safety systems, network protocol converters, drive-thru service-enhancement systems and in 2004, the pioneering of
sunlight viewable outdoor LCD monitors in North America.
Major clients included Seimens, Panasonic, PAR Microsystems, McDonald’s Restaurants (worldwide), Tim Hortons, Petro-Canada and many others.

AutoBAG™ Order Accuracy System
The Autobag system achieved Global Approval for all McDonald’s Restaurants in 2004.
It virtually eliminated customer complaints in drive-thru by detecting missing items in customer orders. Autobag became mandatory operating equipment for McDonald's restaurants in some markets.

VIDIGraphic™ Video Drive-Thru System
Developed over 28 years ago for McDonald’s Restaurants, the VIDIGraphic(TM) System was one of the first customer order displays available for drive-thru and the first to incorporate live 2-way video. The system was patented in Canada, and recently redeveloped in full-digital.
